LifeDance Therapy
What Is LifeDance Therapy?
LifeDance Therapy is a trauma/shame/anger/fear reduction technique developed and copyrighted by Dianne M. Pela, MAPC, LPC.

LifeDance Therapy is a fresh and unique interventional approach to trauma work because it combines therapeutic dance movement and Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) to obtain therapeutic results rapidly. The program assists in moving negative energy up and out of the body. Energy is returned to the central nervous system and brings healing.

In most cases, dramatic results are obtained within the four day seminar, which is equivalent to one year of conventional one-on-one therapy.

Thus, LifeDance facilitates a rapid breakthrough, allowing participants to resume--or in many cases begin--leading a fulfilling and happy life.

What Makes LifeDance Unique?

Unlike any other therapeutic venue, LifeDance combines two of the most powerful communication modalities--therapeutic dance and Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP). As early as the 1940’s, dance has been a powerful medium for therapy. Since body and mind are inter-related, therapeutic dance effects change and integrates the emotional, cognitive and spiritual.

The concept of Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) is simplistic. We all experience the world primarily through one of three senses--sight, sound or feeling. The sensory way in which a person is experiencing the world at any particular time is relative to how they will most effectively respond to any given therapeutic intervention.

By way of combining therapeutic dance and NLP, Ms. Pela has developed a strategy to rapidly target the troubled areas of the psyche to produce intense breakthroughs in a short period of time. To this end, LifeDance provides the maximum benefit to people who suffer.

Who Can Benefit Most from LifeDance Therapy?
Certainly anyone can benefit from this method of therapy. The target population who benefit most are those who suffer from any trauma including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, (PTSD); any body shame alone or that which may manifest itself in a condition such as Anorexia-Bulimia, Co-Sex Addiction or Compulsive Overeating. It also assists in anger management and in the reduction of shame, guilt and fear.
