Therapist for two and a half years. Dianne was trained by
such pioneers in the field of substance abuse and codependency
as Pia Mellody, Claudia Black and John Bradshaw. Dianne
also had the honor of training with Dr. Patrick Carnes,
foremost authority and pioneer in the work of recovery from
Sex Addiction.
Dianne
has also served as Primary Therapist at Rosewood Ranch Eating
Disorder Clinic for Women in Wickenburg, AZ. It is there
that Dianne introduced her innovative and unique program
called LifeDanceTherapy to the women suffering from bulimia
and anorexia, with positive results and a high level of
recovery.
Dianne
has more than twenty years experience as motivational speaker/facilitator
of workshops and seminars designed to empower and reconnect
participants with their inherent preciousness and with their
inner resources for healing and recovery. |
 |
| Her
philosophy is simple: |
"We
all come into this world precious and innocent--full of
love, sweetness, and joy. Somewhere along the way through
fear, trauma, abuse, deprivation, we lose sight of our preciousness.
I believe it is my job as your therapist to assist you in
reconnecting with that which is already there--your inherent
preciousness."
Ms.
Pela also believes that deep within all of us, our spirit
already has all the answers. These are our inner resources
for healing. Ms. Pela assists her clients in connecting
with these inner resources, always with the focus on empowerment
of self. |
 |
NEGATIVE
EMOTIONS SUPPRESS THE IMMUNE SYSTEM |
When
negative emotions are taken into our thoughts, they are
also stored somewhere within our bodies. This causes energy
to be blocked from getting to our central nervous system,
which creates health problems. Ms Pela teaches each participant
a personal technique, based on their own individual method
of learning, to rid the body and psyche of negative emotion.
Ms.
Pela is also the developer of Visual Tranquility, which
is a combination of massage therapy and progressive muscle
relaxation. Her first book and subsequent workbook, which
focus on forgiveness in recovery, are forthcoming.
